About Dr Neha Mahajan
Dr Neha Mahajan has worked as a university academic, researcher and clinician for more than three decades and has held a range of senior academic and professional positions both overseas and in Australia. Alongside her clinical work, she is a Senior Lecturer with the School of Medicine at The University of Adelaide, bringing extensive academic knowledge and a strong scientific understanding of human behaviour into her work with clients. Dr Neha believes psychological therapy should provide a safe space where individuals can explore difficult experiences with courage, curiosity and compassion. Her approach is trans-diagnostic and eclectic, drawing on different therapeutic frameworks according to the individual rather than relying on a single method of treatment. Her training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, walk-and-talk therapy, Gottman-informed approaches and Emotionally Focused Therapy, all supported by a strong positive psychology framework. Through this integrated approach, Dr Neha helps clients better understand their experiences, develop practical psychological skills and work towards greater resilience, wellbeing and a more fulfilling life. She welcomes NDIS clients and provides consultations in both English and Hindi, with Punjabi also spoken. Saturday clinic appointments are available.
